Eddie Abd is an artist and arts worker living on Dharug and Gundungurra Country.
In her work, she often utilises performance on video, digital collage (still and moving) and cross stitch embroidery to explore the politics of image-making and consumption, framed through a personal lens.
Her solo exhibitions were held at Casula Powerhouse Arts centre (2024), Blue Mountains Cultural Centre (2023) and Firstdraft (2021). Eddie was awarded the Create NSW visual arts fellowship for emerging artist 2021/2022 and is the 2021 Blake prize recipient (emerging).
Over the past fifteen years, she has worked across Western Sydney collaborating with and supporting creatives to realise arts projects grounded in Community Arts and Cultural Development processes. Her experience as a creative producer and curator spans a range of multidisciplinary projects across visual arts, screen, and performance. She is a creative producer at Utp.
Born in Lebanon, Eddie completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (painting) at the Lebanese University (2001) and a Bachelor of Digital Media at COFA, UNSW (2005).
